The increased power demand of Bangladesh, government launched immediate, short, medium and long term programs through introducing of fuel mix (gas, coal, liquid fuel, nuclear energy and power import from neighboring countries). The Government has adopted a Master Plan and planned to generate 24,000MW by 2021 and 40,000 MW by 2030 and 60,000 MW by 2041.
Energypac Power Venture Limited (EPVL) is an Independent Power Producer (IPP) Company in Bangladesh which is generate the electricity and provide it to the national grid-line. The company was formed in 2007 to meet up the ever increasing demand of electricity, construct power plants, uninterrupted and reliable electricity as per the needs of the Government of Bangladesh. Currently the company has implemented Tow(02) own and Two (02) joint venture power plants having total generation capacity of 234 MW.
